A Family Legacy

The Jackson Companies, located in Myrtle Beach, S.C., was founded by Mary Emily and Nelson Jackson and their five daughters. It is a family-owned enterprise that includes the SayeBrook Town Center and SayeBrook Community, Ocean Lakes Village, Prestwick Country Club, Ocean Lakes Family Campground and related businesses, and Crystal Lake Mobile Home Village. The Jackson Companies also owns or manages over 1,500 acres of undeveloped land in the Myrtle Beach area. 

Today, the five Jackson daughters are the company shareholders who have defined our mission to preserve and enhance the value of the real properties entrusted to us and manage the development of those properties to their highest and best land use.

In 1996, The Jackson Companies saw the rapid growth in Myrtle Beach and began devising a long-term master plan to direct any future development of the 1,500 acres under our stewardship. The master plan focuses on guiding the thoughtful and graceful expansion of the SayeBrook development, blending progress and preservation into a balanced community through the integration of smart-growth principles, economic development, and environmental stewardship. 

The Jackson Companies specializes in creating commercial, mixed-use, and residential communities with a sense of place and purpose, where people feel connected, and attention to detail makes a lasting difference. SayeBrook

SayeBrook is a 730-acre neighborhood inspired by the traditions of South Carolina's Lowcountry towns featuring tree-lined streets, neighborhood parks, meandering walking and biking paths, a pedestrian-friendly town center, and homes designed to reflect the timeless architectural style of the South.

South Strand Medical Center

South Strand Medical Center, a department of Grand Strand Medical Center, provides outpatient care. Services include a 24-hour emergency room (ER), radiology, laboratory, cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation and a wound care program.

Prestwick Country Club

In the heart of the Myrtle Beach is the prestigious Prestwick Country Club. Prestwick has the look and feel of a private club, but is open to the public. The course was designed by Pete & P.B. Dye and includes some of the most beautifully sculpted holes in the area. This Par 72, 18-hole course plays over 7,000 yards from the black tees, but offers six sets of tees to accommodate every golfer’s game.
